The paintings of Aaron Martin are mannered, constructed landscapes painted with knowledge of Kiefer, Doig, Richter and to German romantic paintings of earlier times. Martin’s paintings allude to themes of adventure, exploration and to the attitudes that man has to the natural environment. David O’Halloran
